" The Holdovers " starring Paul Giamatti, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Dominic Sessa and Carrie Preston.
Definitely not one to be missed. A tragicomedy from award winning director Alexander Payne about a New England college lecturer required to remain on campus during the Christmas break to look after the students who have nowhere to go.
" Exquisitely bittersweet, The Holdovers marks a satisfying return to form for director Alexander Payne."
" Beautifully written with stellar performances from Giamatti and Randolph, this is a gentle movie with a slender steel spine. It's a must see."
" A new American classic."

Fri. June 14th. "Wicked Little Letters" starring Olivia Coleman, Timothy Spall, Jessie Buckley, Jason Watkins and Eilleen Atkins.
Based on a true scandal, the story of Rose Gooding, Edith Swan and the Littlehampton Libels. In the early 1920's a small seaside town in Sussex was rocked by a scandal involving warring neighbours, miscarriages of justice and a lot of swearing.

" Olivia Coleman and Jessica Buckley are on fire in this hilarious, foulmouthed comedy that will have you rolling in the aisles."
" A solid, bawdy romp with a serious undertone about women rising above oppression."
" So much fun, ridiculous, and at the end of the day it's a woman's empowerment movie in an odd sort of way".

Fri. 12th July " Mrs. Lowry and Son " starring Vanessa Redgrave, Timothy Spall, Wendy Morgan and Stephan Lord.
LS Lowry lived all his life with his overbearing mother. Bed ridden and bitter, she actively tried to dissuade her bachelor son from pursuing his artistic ambitions whilst never failing to voice her opinion about what a disappointment he was to her.
"One the best movies I've ever seen, two of the best actors who have ever lived. And Lowry! "
"Top class performances from two great actors and a wonderful depiction of the difficult and stifling reality of Lowrys' life."
" On the screen,Mrs Lowry and Son, much like one of Lowry's own paintings, is a wee gem on a small canvas, full of loving detail within it's apparently simple and unadorned style."
