"The Great Escaper" starring Michael Caine, Glenda Jackson, Danielle Vitalis and John Standing.

Based on the true story, that made national headlines, about octogenarian Bernard Jordan who absconded from his care home in Hove in 2014 in order to attend the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in France.

" A moving and surprisingly nuanced drama offering far more than flag waving nostalgia. Superb performances from Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson in her last film role".

" Gentle and dignified, a grande finale for two fabulous veteran actors".

" The film's sweet tone never veers into sentimentality--- the story remains grounded on the tragedy of war building to a memorable scene decrying the human cost of battle"
