LOVE TO MOVE
We are really fortunate to have these classes available in The Old School on Tuesday afternoons, from 1.30 pm. The cost is £3 including a welcome cup of tea and biscuit and a chat after the session.
It’s a small, friendly group, so why not pop in and see for yourself?
Love to Move is an innovative seated gymnastics programme that can help to change the lives of people with dementia and long-term health conditions – with demonstrable physical, emotional and cognitive benefits. Developed based on scientific evidence, Love to Move is an age and dementia friendly, seated exercise programme that engages participants with simple hand movements set to music, and has been shown to help improve their mobility, strength, and flexibility. The exercises are designed to challenge both sides of your brain, making your neurons work more efficiently, so can help improve cognitive function and coordination as well.
The ground-breaking programme is the first of its kind in the UK, with sessions now being delivered in care homes and community venues across the country every week.
