BOOK CLUB

Would you like to meet like-minded book lovers to discuss reading in a relaxed and informal way?

We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 9.30 for coffee and company in The Old School library for about an hour.

We read a wide range of books from Cornwall Library who provide complete sets so costs are minimal. Periodically we change things by each recommending something we have been reading.

We have read classics such as The Outsider by Albert Camus and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, non-fiction such as Taken on Trust by Terry Waite and The Wild Places by Robert MacFarlane and also some more humorous books such as One Pair of Hands by Monika Dickens and Clochemerle by Gabriel Chevallier. We try and vary the type of books we read so that everyone has something they enjoy or perhaps find something new to further explore. Sometimes the best discussions happen when we don't agree about a book!

If you are interested in joining us, please contact Helen Cadiot via The Old School office.
